Thinking in Javascript

This is the first review of many to come(hopefully) of books that I have finished reading.

Written by Aravind Shenoy and published by Packt Publishing.

I wouldn’t purchase this book, nor should anyone else. If Packt wasn’t offering the book for free, I wouldn’t recommend reading it. Aravind did an excellent job crafting the words and making the book easy to read, but it’s extremely light on content. The book is angled at beginners, but isn’t nearly step-by-step enough to get most beginners up to speed. The book is really just a light introduction to Javascript in general, with a few pages dedicated to jQuery.

The book comes in at 47 pages, and will take 2 hours for a complete beginner to work through, if they do all the examples. A more experienced programmer is wasting their time here.
